ePassporte Update

ePassporte Visa Electron Card
09/07/2010, 11.02 PM CST

I called ePassporte in India , just got off the phone. Spoke with an ePassporte representative by the name of 'Chandu'. Chandu, after much concern about getting personal information from me finally agreed to speak to me candidly about the ePassporte/Visa debacle.

Chandu stated that all the money that was setting in consumers ePassporte Visa Electron Cards is safe and in an ePassporte bank account, although he refrained from stating where that bank account was located, city, country or bank name.

Chandu further continued the rhetoric of ePassports line that all consumers money is safe and secure and will be available as soon as the issues with Visa are worked out. When pressured about the "what if" scenario of what will happen to consumer money if the ePassporte / Visa issue is not resolved, "how will consumers get their money" Chandu stated, "at that time, if the issues between Visa and ePassporte can not be worked out, consumers monies will be transfered over to their ePassporte 'wallets'. Consumers can then use their ePassporte wallet to make purchases, transfer monies etc just like the ePassporte Visa Electron Card they used before. They will even be able to transfer their money to their bank account that they set up with ePassporte when they opened their ePassporte account.

I guess time will only tell.
